At first it has kind of a pungent smell but it does give a warning on the packaging and it definitely goes away

Was so torn on which yoga mat to buy online finally decided on this one and so happy i did great quality and it does not smell i had bought another one at a store but as soon as i unwrapped it it smelled so bad of chemicals i had to return so i was so happy that this one was scentless
