You will have to slide it to twist it off and sometimes if the metal that you are attaching it to is painted you might damage the paint simply because they stick so powerfully

Its screwed on with an actual screw that goes through the magnet to the bottom side

Do not overtighten the phillips screw bolt as this will cause the neodymium magnet to fracture into 3 sections
