The title is totally incorrect. It is not a 13 inch heat tape, it is a 13 foot heat tape. The product is a total failure. Lasted 2 years.

The plastic covering the thermostat assembly is not waterproof. The contacts inside corrode, after which they start arcing and become intermittent.
