All 4 drives initialized properly and have been running for the better part of a week now with no issues other than being a bit noisy. These are data center drives so that is to be expected.

Ordered 4 of the 16tb aresenal drives to replace smaller seagate drives in a qnap ts451 that was getting a bit cramped

The smart info on all of the drives indicated that they had been powered up only twice before

It seems the drive was new according to the packing slip but confusing with this rebranding processthe hard drive when opened was a wd drive a brand i like

If you dont know the difference between sas and sata do not purchase this drive

Sas hds require a sas interface and will not work with sata interfaces
