No more lugging around a 20 gallon tank. The tank is refillable by any propane dealer. You can also re-fill up to 4 of those 1lbs green propane bottles using an adapter.

So ive filled it up about a dozen times im at the break even point as far as going with the can route
I personally think i overpaid but i’m ok with the final results

The only thing wrong with these smaller tanks is the price
It cost me 8 dollars to fill this and lasts about 20 hours of cooking

Needs to be purged but because it is so small purging is fast and inexpensive

The tank came with several scrapes and scratches and a small dent on the handles because of poor packaging
This little tank was in a big box with no packaging

I did not want to tote around a 20lb tank nor could that fit my use

Be mindful in california it is ilegal to “purge” propane tanks hence the trouble to get filled for the first time

Purging is pretty much filling the tank with little propane gas and slowing releasing it into the air repeat a few times this prevents any air or unwanted impurities to remain inside before filling it for the very first time

It is highly recommended failure to do so will result in malfunctioning or excess water in your propane tank hence shorting its life
