Pros

Brady is also the author of the trapped in a video game series. What an adult thinks of the dustin brady knows his audience. Dustin is catchy with his writing style and the kids really tuned in to all of the details.

The characters are very well written and likeable. You have some cool early-20th century gangster related-lore. There are fun scenes where people are trying to escape gangsters! It is action-packed and the characters are entertaining.

There are implications in the book that will likely go over an 8 year olds head, but a 11-12 year old is more likely to catch. She is a first grader who reads at a 4th grade level, so this reading level is perfect for her.
