Pros & Cons
Pros
Our kindergartener loves being able to read the blue and red cards and do all of the counting/moving spaces for us. Highly recommend for families with competitive kiddos. I'm very comfortable using it in the classroom and the kids love it!
The best part to me is that teamwork is required and while competition is involved, it's not cutthroat. We love that it is a cooperative game where the players work together. It doesn't pit them against each other which usually ends up in tears or fig... Read More
It's not as visually cluttered as where's waldo. It helps if you know what the movies are about.
Super easy to learn, fun, and imaginative in design. The instructions are simple.
Cons
I had to duct tape the board back together after playing once because he crawled on it. The board is made of cheap cardboard so it broke immediate at multiple seams.
The only use for the spinner is how many times we get to turn the timer over on a certain item. The sand timer is kinda useless too, better off using the timer with a beep on your phone. The locations can be memorized too quickly.
The images are way too small to be seen by everyone except the most eagle-eyed among us. It loses the fun when we’re all looking an inch away from the board to try to decipher the tiny pictures.
Highlights
Quality
We had ravensburger games for our kids when they were small and we appreciate the quality
Vibrant colors many disney movies represented good quality
This game didn’t come with the cards we need to play
It can easily be played in under 15 minutes or take longer depending on how strict you are with the original game rules
Competitiveness
It’s easy to learn and it’s cooperative “winning” requires everyone to get to the castle so it’s not a competition
It’s fun for all of us in our family my 4yo 7yo and the adults
Im not opposed to healthy competition but its nice to have one that can teach comradery
Playing games with my 5yo can turn to a lot of tears if he doesnt win
