The label indicates less than 1000 mw output power class iii they dont put power labels on lasers like that just for kicks

The dot spread with the filter in place is very useful for defensive uses and just the straight beam will temporarily blind any intruder which can give you time to call 911 andor grab a defensive weapon for protection
