Pros & Cons

Cons

There is almost no friction, without a catch these will not stay open/closed. The only practical install method would be sideways, which isn't really doable 85% of the time. Aluminum gates are much more durable.

Its a plastic blast gate so take it for what its worth

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I was already dropping bank on the dust collector and tubing and connections so i skimped on these blast gates

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Heres a couple frustrating things like other users noted it is cheap and it is not super strong and the other thing is that dust will collect in the travel channel for the gate and it will slowly begin to not close all the way

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Until just today mind you ive been using this system for over two years now i was fully planning on yanking these blast gates out and building my own but then i decided to try a simpler fix

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I would recommend you do this before you install them if you decide to buy them

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I yanked every gate out of the housing

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It has a small tab to prevent you from doing this

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I yanked each one out and then cut off that tab
