For example lets say you want to hook up your pc to your wide screen tv on a temporary basis

You would connect the pc to the tv and cover the cord on the floor with gaffers tape so that people do not trip over the cord

I personally prefer 2 wide tape for labeling things 12 is almost too narrow for labeling with my handwriting
