Its made from a sturdy rubber material with which will hold it strong grip on it and will not fall out even the way i drive…you can also turn it both sides of the phone meaning that i can have it the regular side of the phone and also the other side phone for the phone gps

I did not put 5 star cause the clamp that goes inside the vent is coated with a different rubberlike plastic than the jaws that hold the phone

That different rubberlike plastic is too hard so it does not have that sticky effect on the vent to prevent it from sliding sideways

It is not really an issue as it eventually gets jammed in the vent on the side
