Pros
Well made, accurate and durable. Don't buy those expensive digital protractors - get the wixey and save yourself some bucks. The device is easy to use.
The only drawback is that the locking mechanism doesn't lock the device tight enough. It helps me set up tools to cut precisely at the angle i want, repeatably measuring to the 1/10th of a degree.
The arms on the mitre gauge are long enough to help me set my mitre saw to precisely 30 degrees and lock 'er down. The set miter option makes a perfect miter very easy and fast. An excellent way to easily set a sawblade.
Cons
Poor design on the locking mechanism. Even after taking a measurement, attempting to lock the protractor to that measurement moves the blades, therefore changing the measurement. This thing eats batteries like it's going out of style.

Best price available for this and has helped my husbands woodworking accuracy immensely
Competitiveness
The prices on digital protractors are insane but this wixey brand is a great value at about one fourth the cost of many other brands
It performs better than any inclinometer or goniometer on the market with accuracy that is unheard of in the medical handheld tool market

It would be nice if the width of the edge of the protractor was a little less so determining the angle of a smooth cut carbide saw blade could be determined more accurately
