Use it to set the top of the dad blade set, cut the dado and voilà, the tract fits. I use it to measure table saw height, router bit height and distance from the drill press fence to the drill bit.

The great thing with this gauge is that i can slap it on the cast iron and the magnets keep it in place while i check the height of my sawblade.
