Theres a button on it which i do not understand but it couldve substituted it for a button which turns screen off momentarily

There was simple buttons for page up and down and even to black out the screen

To activate the hyperlinks you must have web site open on the active tab of your default browser firefox chrome ie

When you press the little square icon on the controller it will highlight the hyperlink and switch windows to the active tab and display the website
