After contacting customer support they ran through some basic tests with me via email and then just mailed me a brand new pair

Not thinking about it i used these to walk the track at the y and when i started running one popped out of my ear and bounced on the floor fell 25 feet down onto the basketball court below

As for noise cancellation these earbuds do not have noise cancellation technology

Rather they rely on a snug fit and noise reduction tech which is a builtin feature and does not use any battery
