The included instruction book is excellent. It suggests you keep track of the various grits and sanding mediums you used.
This tumbler does a great job of polishing stones. Tumblr comes with clear step-by-step instructions with pictures of the stone, and add each step and explanations. There is also a kit with just the media, conveniently labeled by number.

I watched my grandfather years and years ago when he had a tumbler so i was already fairly familiar with the process
The grits and other compounds do not come with the unit
The unit that i got does not come with the requisite polishing compoundsmedia nor does it include any stones

This machine does not come with any of the grit that you need to use it right out of the box

Far better than harbor freight brand and “toy” models
Didnt expect a pro level machine at this price but it does just fine

This isnt something youll want to have running inside your home because it can be quite loud but its fine in the garage

The hard rubber of the tumbler does take the traditional noise level down a bit but it is still noisy

Drum wouldnt track evenly after a couple days until i shimmed it a bit
