The amount of strength needed to pump is very minimal as my daughter who is a little over two was able to pump her own ball with a little help

Nice looking i love this pump it is really small but works so efficient to pump up the tire of my bike and so easy and light to carry it comes with a bike attachment which works well and because of how light and compact able it is it doesnt effect riding at all
