It glides beautifully and doesn't make any noise unless you aggressively rock. Its rocking is very smooth, virtually silent, and very gentle. I love the way it rocks and the foot rest is a plus. Very smooth for rocking our grandson to sleep.

Save your money and purchase a better rocking chair. This chair looks good but is very uncomfortable. The chair's stand is a bit unstable if you try to go too far on either side. It is risky especially when you hold an infant in your hand.

This is not assembly error as it was the frame itself that snapped. Just take my word for it, spend the money on something nicer. No way to get ahold of manufacturing company. Google states company is temporarily closed.

It squeaks loudly. My * hurting + squeaking = garbage.
