The problem with this unit is the terminal is flush with the plastic battery housing making it impossible for the side of a standard 18650 battery to make contact with the terminal

There is a solution if you are mechanically inclined to make a small modification

You could do hack to verify that the battery contact is your issue if your light will not turn on with charged batteries

The solution is to create a small nipple on the terminal that will allow for proper contact between the side of battery and the terminal
