I did make the mistake of putting it in the dishwasher the first time and it got that matte looking finish and alarmingly there seemed to be a residue that would rub off

On a side note i received both platters damaged both bent on one end

The material is so thick i cant imagine how they would have been damaged during shipment unless something extremely heavy was dropped on the package

Only problem is they are aluminium so they may get a little scuffed in transit
