I use this controller to turn on the lights when temps fall below 34 deg. I want to provide heat there via an infrared light bulb (like a restaurant food-warming bulb) the display is easy to read from inside the house, nice in colder nights.

The price is assuredly right. This freezer is a magic chef 5. Customer service is quickly responsive and they do back their product 1 year warranty.

Cons

Not good for a *. It makes the unit worthless. Ruined something important to me.

Update after a even more inconsistent than ever. Warranty is expired. Currently both are broken.

Usually this hysteresis is set once and never touched again. When temp was reached a loud beeping sound went off non-stop. Might be an issue with very temperature sensitive applications such as incubating eggs.

It randomly shuts off. But for whatever reason, unplugging everything resets it.
