This is so much more satisfying for a traveller than just whizzing around and superficially seeing (but not really seeing) lots of scenery. This is a book i read when i'm stuck and when i need to find my voice again.

It's difficult to quantify the value you can get from reading ng. A favorite of mine is to read work aloud often. Every writer has to find his/her own method, system, way of getting from the beginning to the end, and that's what editing is for.
