Wild is a beautiful story, and a courageous, honest conversation. The book and the movie make excellent companions. I look forward to reading more of strayed’s work.

I started having doubts midway through the book as to how much of her hike and even previous life events were real or figments of her imagination.

Cheryl herself isn't very likeable - the girl goes through some tough things, like every person, and she totally shatters.
