The cord attached to the camera female end is white and is about a foot long

The adapter cable male end is black and is 4 feet long so you get a total of 5 feet from the camera to wherever youre plugging it in at unless you buy an extension

The dvr will only connect to your router via ethernet cable so keep that in mind when buying this

The cameras do connect wirelessly to the dvr and i would recommend plugging them all in and numbering them before mounting them so you can plan where you want each camera to go

You can set it to record both continuously and motion at the same time and they will show up separately for viewing in playback mode

I have one camera at the far end of my house with several walls in between it and the dvr and it connects just fine
