Pros

Two separate compartments that can be separately programmed as refrigerator or freezer. Top locks down, which also helps when i get too much stuff and need to clamp the lid down. On lids are great to keep closed when transporting.

It's unbelievably quiet and built solid. The compressor is quiet- doesn't bother me at all at night. The temp you set is the temp the compressor starts running it brings the temp about 10 deg.

Works great on ac. No problem with the new unit so far but haven't used the dc power side much just yet. My electrical system is all 24v and appliances that bypass the inverter will save you a lot of power in the long run. It works just as well on 12 ... Read More

Cons

Whynter is not a reputable company. They will not honor their warranty if your plug fails. The manufacturer is aware it is a faulty product but will do nothing to help you once yours fails.

The evaporator lines rust and leak your coolant out. If the door stays open too long - the unit starts beeping every 15 seconds.
