Fleck 5600sxt does a much better job softening our water than our old morton softener. We live in the mountains and our water was 400+ hardness. It is a very heavy package and recommend help as the tank with resin in it is upwards of 180lbs.

Cons

The manual and instructions aren't exactly clear and organized. The guy answering the phone is incredibly rude and unhelpful.

My new softener is working great no more iron accumulating on things

Put this water softener in and water went to 25 hardness and the rashy skin went away in 2 days

My hardness was 46 and now according to the strips they provided a zero

Also the flow meter on my unit was set incorrectly to the wrong type they should check this at shipping time
