Pros & Cons

Pros

This bit is amazing. Worth every penny to me. Well packaged.

Great carbide holds an edge a long time. No tear out, burn, or blemishing. Any imperfection in the table top are due to my lack of carpentry skill. Nice finish on the cedar.

My router is a dewalt dw-618 (2 1/4 hp) and it handled surfacing the stick with now issues at all. Using in my * 2.

The updated pics are a side by side comparision of the first pass on the first side with the white side bit, and then half way done trying the uxcel bit. I have to say, it performed impressively. All whiteside bits are exceptional.

Cons

My bit came damaged. There is solder missing on some of the cutter heads, they're not even, and excess solder on other teeth. I could get seriously hurt by using it. Which, is quite frustrating given the thousands of dollars i spend in their stores ye...  Read More

So i wanted to try building hardwood drawer fronts for this router cabinet that i was building… i just didn’t want to pay ridiculous amounts of money for wood that was precut to my specs

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I decided to try making a sled for my router and use a flattening bit to mill down the wood to proper thickness and then cut my fronts

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I went to rockler and bought a 6 ft slab of rough poplar and chopped into rough halves

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I shimmed the slab so it wouldn’t rock and hot glued it in place

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Next i set up the rails and sled and took off about an 18”

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I sanded it down and flipped the board over so that the bottom would be flat

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Next i repeated the process until it was cut to thickness at about 716”

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

It took me about 45 passes total created a ton of dust but it works
