Pros & Cons

Pros

The leather feels nice. The crossguard is slightly canted. The sheath is kinda janky, but it's cool.

The minute you pick this up the weight and quality of construction are evident. Great for any braveheart fan. It is long and perfect for the masterpiece of the room.

The blade is nice, straight, and factory sharpened but not to a razors edge. The blade pommel and cross guard are nicely polished to a nice sheen. It is the actual size and you can sharpen it if you want.

The materials feel so real that it makes me want to start chopping things with it. And charge at my enemies, who are completely freaked out because of my painted blue face and bad * kilt!

What an awesome sword. They are beautiful. No problems. Hahahajust kiddin. Thank you whetstone cutlery.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the description and other reviews. If you want junk this sword is for you. What a hassle. The blade is much shorter than a real claymore.

Quality

Its a quality product and very big

My girlfriend bought me this as a gift for my birthday due to my fascination with the braveheart film william wallace himself

However the quality was a bit bad there was numerous blemishes and as for the leather sheath and handle the quality is horrible

The handle was not aligned perfectly with the blade

Price

For the price you can beat it

Very nicely crafted sword and excellent price

After looking around it became apparent this price is 15

You cant expect it to be practical with this price

Shipping

It does have some imperfections on the blade if this was due to manufacturing or shipping im unaware

Packaging/appearance

My only complaint is that you can see the casting seams on the crossguard

Competitiveness

00 dollars less expensive than other offerings

Also the blade is not sharp really at all just fyi which is good for me cause i dont want it falling off the wall and hurting my dog or something bad like that

I have it securely on the wall lol but i am just paranoid i suppose

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This is a chromed steel instead of stainless

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

To the uneducated eye they look similar but chromed steel has a lower melting point is not as strong and rusts and pits easily

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Just like your straight razors if you want to keep them shiny and young they must have a thin layer of lubrication

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I doubt this one could but an authentic sword of this type would be capable of bending almost to the point of touching the handle without breaking

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Imagine the strength it would take to wield successfully alone much less while carrying a shield

After looking around it became apparent this price is 15
