Pros

The book is organized neatly with insightful chapters and follow-up pragmatic tips and tricks. I highly suggest this book for anyone who manages other people as well as those who are just trying to get out of a funk.

Refreshingly, when is not one of those books you just pick up to reapply again and again when life gets in the way. The author fits a good amount of data into the 200 pages that flew by. A true 4-star book.

There are some great graphs and statistics where the author details the optimal work to rest ratio, school start times, and the importance of leaders in any environment to set the tone and pace of work. The “nappuccino” is also really interesting.

One major takeaway is the importance of the way our experiences end. We magnify what happens at the end, to the detriment of all else that came before. As someone who lives perpetually in nostalgia, i consider this a personal victory.
