This book is intense…. It's definitely worth the read. There are some parts of the story that the reader has a hard time believing, but the rest of the stories is so good that this reader was able to overlook it. It’s still a propelling read.

Laughter and sadness. It grabs your heartstrings then has you rooting for the family.

The storyline is blah, but the real issue is the author has developed characters completely void of depth and likability. The characters are superficial caricatures. Characters are not likeable and, in fact, irritating.

Lucinda, the mother, acts like a hormonal 15 year old and is probably my least favorite character followed by the narrator himself. She’s so highly-rated that i thought the first one was a fluke.

This is too much. It is completely unbelievable. This one is disappointing.
