Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought 3 of them. Worked as advertised. No complaints.
This product can be installed without the help of an electrician. New light is securely installed. Easy to follow instructions.
Converter makes converting a can light to a pendant or chandelier easy. The ceiling medallion/cover is fine but you might want to spray paint it since it's a shiny plastic white. Took about 45 minutes to convert the recesscan light to pendant light.
It's very sturdy once it's done but * it into the metal is challenging. Drill bit pictured for reference). Holes into it is the hardest part of the process.
Cons
The screws to attach the bracket to the can are too short. The center screw on the internal lock bar cannot be tightened to hold open the crossbar mounting bracket. My cans have the bulb mounting integrated with the can so when the can is gone there i... Read More
Do not even scratch it. Extremely frustrating to use. Surely there’s other products that work better for a lesser price.
This makes it impossible to attach your liffht fixture to the ceiling. If you want the decorative medallion to fit snugly against the sealing you will have a tough time putting on the metal cover plate.

Highlights
Quality
Very easy to install and very sturdy
The bracket designs are well done go ahead and drill a pilot hole for the screws and save yourself some time
These won’t work need self tapping screws to drill and screw into old can
One note and it may just be my recessed lighting assembly but the selftapping screws with the kit did not even make a dent
Price
This saved me lots of since i did not have to hire an electrician to install 4 pendant lights in my kitchen
This converter was an awesome affordable solution to replacing the light
Adapter price is unreasonably high at 40
The kit is worth the price whatever it may be today
Shipping
The install was super fast and easy
I was about to try and improvise and came across this conversion kit just in time ill be returning the items i bought in lowes to improvise
Packaging/appearance
So i decided to find out why which meant i had to take the can out ceiling to get to the junction box where a wire was loose in... Read More
Nice that they come with a big trim ring white
Competitiveness
Went with this name brand version of this adapter vs the orange big box store generic
Picture shows the canlight removed with a pendant light in place of it that i purchased separately at lowe’s
Its a bit pricey but there arent many alternatives out there

Only issue i had was the ground strap was faulty and the screw was stripped thus could not be tightened

Better design would be a selftapping ground screw and ring connector which i ended up making instead of the clip

Easy to install except for getting the screws into the can in the ceiling

It should be five star if they provided self drilling screw
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The provided self tapping screws worked well but difficult to screw in the can light
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
The medallion did not work well for my because of the limited spacing with side screws for my lighting as opposed to directly to ceiling screwing

I ended up purchasing a basic medallion of the same size from lowes which cost 12 to get just 12 inches more space
