Headlamp is rechargeable via a mini-usb port (cable included) uses two 2200mah li-ion batteries. Convenience of a rechargeable battery. The tourch have 4 lighting modes and are usb rechargable.

Head torch has two batteries which gives it longer battery life. The battery is one of the new standardized lithium cells. Battery lasts well and it all seems tough enough.
Used in an unlit room it is literally like switching the light on. Bright enough for landing carp at night and spotting rolling fish up to about 40m. Works well and the light is very bright.
Cons
It's a shame because the brightness is good.

The controls for switching modes and adjusting the beam are all located on the front of the unit and can easily be manipulated by touch only
