The switch allows you to connect up to three hdmi devices to a single hdmi input and switch between them with a button on top
This switch does not need any external power and i had no trouble at all getting it to recognize the hdmi inputs nor did i have any trouble switching between the inputs
The hdmi output cable is also detachable in case you need the cable to do a 11 input although the cable is quite shortthe length of the cable may be my only potential complaint as it is only about a foot so it has to be close to the tv or monitor that you are using but for this price there really isnt anything wrong with that and you can always switch the hdmi cable for a longer one it is a standard male to male hdmi cable
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs to have three different hdmi sources on one hdmi input
