Pros

I highly recommend this sander to anyone that has a project. Works excellent for my projects at home.

This sander is lightweight but full on power. I have a heavy 4 inch belt sander, but there are places where it is too big and heavy. The unit is mostly plastic, but don't be put off by that because i’ve got to tell you i worked the * off it for 3 days... Read More

The only bad thing is the dust bag. Dust mask, coveralls etc. Works well on ruff cut lumber. Going from coarse sanding to fine is quick and easy.

It runs very smoothly feels comfortable in the hand and performed great on about 400 board feet of solid oak that i needed to sand for a built-in library bookshelf wall. Belts track nicely. Adjustment is easy.

Cons

Very disappointed in this sander. Only used for a few minutes twice. This sander is junk. Amazon's warranty is only good for a month.

I was skeptical because of price but after using it i found it was a great buy

I would recommend for anyone using this as a project sander as it is cost effective and get the job done

I bought it anyways since it was affordable and it had free returns

No point in spending big on a dewalt etc

Came in good condition i have been using it to sand surfaces and round some edges and the belt is still intact

It came with a 40 grit belt which is aggressive so i bought a pack of 180 grit belts

Came with a belt attached ready to go

Competitiveness

I bought a couple of 3 inch sanders and this one works as well as my more expensive 3 inch belt sander

I was very interested on purchase the makita 9403 many people says this tool is a monster and better over all the belt sanders

Sending it back and will try a different brand

All cheap belt sanders are designed pretty much the same but this one has some exceptions
