Pros

Wemo plugs fit perfectly in apples ios ecosystem…not intended for amazon alexa. App is easy to use, plug is easyto set up on the app, alexa accepts it right away.

You just start the add after plugging it up, scan a qr code on the side of the plug, and it configures itself with the app. Then configure it.

The wemo mini is huge now compared to version 3. It doesn't take up both slots which is great so you can still plug something else into the outlet. And the plug is slim enough for stuff to be plugged in underneath it.

Wemo v3 has a button on the side so you can manually control the power on it if you need to. Always setup with your phone or ipad device using a 2. Screen. Set up with the app to avoid needing to move about a darkened home.

Cons

The only up side is that they work with homekit, that is, when the wemo plugs are actually functioning. I'm sure belkin will point to something with wifi or the internet service. I hope belkin reads these reviews.

Could never finalize the setup even though my wifi network was detected in the app. It just spontaneously fails to remain connected as thousands of other reviews show. The devices are listed as not found in the wemo app and alexa cannot find them.
