The frame is sturdy and doesn't squeak. The mattress is a down feather comforter.

I’m happy with my purchase, even though the assembly was a bit tedious, & would recommend this bed frame if you have the time and patience to put it together.

It's a fabulous gold that is closer to an antiqued look than some garish yellow disguised as gold. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a bit of romantic elegance in a bed. It's absolutely beautiful with my canopy curtains and fairy lights.

I was impressed with the packing and instructions. I wish the different kinds of screws came labeled in different bags instead of mixed all together because it was risky guessing which ones were which. The screwpackaging was very well done.
