Pros
Pre-emergent * * crabgrass that has already emerged. It lasts longer.
It takes 2 or 3 years of applying the pre-emergent on schedule before the crabgrass and dallisgrass gets under control. You have to get rid of the existing crabgrass by pulling it up (which is really difficult - almost impossible) or using roundup.
Cons
Zero effectiveness. Don't recommend at all.

Down here in the south winter weeds can cover your entire yard making it look overgrown and shaggy

I used roundup to kill it which killed the grass around it too

Daily watering around the dead grass caused the bare spots to be covered with new grass within a few weeks

After the initial slaughter of the crabgrass just pull up the few new shoots whenever they pop up

By the second or third year youll barely have any crabgrass appearing
