My cabinets do have a flat surface but i would not expect them to work well where the adhesive lacks sufficient surface

What makes it a tad difficult is where the latches attach

The material is a harder material and doesnt bend easily at the loops that hold the latches

I can tug on the doors while these are closed and tgey have no give the locks domt budge or come undone

I dont know if i just didnt get the placement right or what the problem was but i could only get one of the four locks in the set to latch
