This is a great product that does exactly what it says it will do covers the webcam lens without being permanent

This just peels off and sticks back on when you are done

One thing to keep in mind is that at least on macbooks the builtin camera is used as an ambient light sensor

This means that when you cover the camera your mac is no longer able to automatically adjust the screen brightness based on the brightness of light around you

It is incredibly thin and i feel like i might peel up the colored top if i don’t make sure to get my nail completely under the cover when removing it
