Pros

Great install video on their site/youtube. Easy to install especially with the video on the amazon webpage.

Opened lid, swapped out old fan for replacement fan. Reassembled and the noise is gone. With the replacement fan from weaknees it is quieter than when new!

Fan is just what i needed for my tivo romeo ota. Seller says they worked with tivo to make sure it meets all their specs.

Cons

The price is so astronomical that i'd call it price gauging. I really like the weaknees brand, but this fan is a dud. Dang guys, you let me down.

Perfect replacement part great installation video and including the not so common torx tools needed for a smooth quick and easy replacement

For easy top side fan replacement only the two upper fan mounting screws can be installed and just these two screws work just fine

My tivo romeo ota was so noisy i thought the hard drive was failing but it turned out the noise was all coming from the fan

Fan was inexpensive and easy to install

Although expensive happy with my purchase and giving added life to our tivo roamio

I was debating between spending the 30 on this one from weaknees or getting the 5 pack for something like 12

Still 30 for a tiny case fan gave me pause

The fan came with 3 screw drivers witch is a nice touch

Competitiveness

More expensive than other potential options but this kit does exactly replace the tivo fan and works well

The price was significantly more than alternatives but the included tools and the fact that the fan is oem helps mitigate the cost

Even though it was the most expensive option i decided on the fan upgrade kit by weaknees
