X ports but i dont expect to have any problems with it since wds quality has always been reliable

Sometimes and this could just be with the password it doesnt automatically reconnect and you have to unplug and replug
Use the included usbc to usba adapter with the drive but couldnt get the computer to register it until i pulled the adapter out slightly
Competitiveness
I did find that using a 3ft well made anker cable without the blue 3
Just ordered a 2tb version for the newer computers with usb3
The shell was slightly warm for usb2 connectiontransfer from an old computer but i would expect it to get warmer if i connect it to a usb3

Update dec 2021 wd has responded and successfully registered the drive for me for warranty

One side of the drive is metal the other side is plastic

Cons as majority of the negative points mentioned in many reviews there is inability to register this product for the warranty

I checked the local electronics big box store selling the same wd ssd drive and the sn also cannot be registered on wds website when i had a staff test

Unknown why wd indicates 5 year warranty one reason why i purchased this when it cannot be done

The software suite that came preloaded on the drive wd discovery also did not properly install and i had to download the version off the wd website and reinstall everything
