Notice from my pictures that if you dont use a hole it includes a rubber washer inside to fill that hole

Amcrest provides a weatherproof cover for the ethernet cable connection but it is too small for a premade cat56 cable

Ok first read their product description “…protect camera cable joints and connectors

As you can see in my photo the larger diameter causes slight leakage in the seal right next to the cable because of the thickness the other hole you see is because i didn’t used the block out washer before taking the photo

The connection will still be accessible although you would need to add new sealer each time you opened it up
