My advice is to use a coin on one of the edges there is a little slot you can put a coin twist it pops right open

Have not tested for waterproof as i dont want to take the chance but bought it mainly for the protection of the screen and case

One thing that we did notice is that the mute button is covered up by the case and even though the description refers to it as a mute key we could not use it as such and ended up having to remove the case and turn mute off as we had inadvertently turned it on when we put the case on

Perhaps there is a way to use this button to muteunmute the phone but we have not figured it out yet

The only complain i have is that when i use the flash the pictures come out foggy because of the case

Also some chargers do not fit because of the case
