But i was hoping to use it for a microirrigation system from a water butt and it appears to require a minimum water pressure which is not mentioned in the instructions

With that one you could only set the number of times it opened per day and the length of time the water flowed and the timer was set on the time you inserted the battery so if you wanted it to work every 24 hours at 7pm you would have to put in the batteries at 7pm and wait 24 hours for the 1st cycle to start

The switch was preumably waterproof since although there was a cover it was a simple liftup perspex shield which was not itself waterproof
