No rocks got in my shoes and we got in the water quite a bit so great for keeping rocks out and staying snug i wouldnt say they are great for all outdoors i forgot to change my shoes before a hike and i wished i had it didnt hurt but i felt like the shoes were too pliable for walking on big sticks and logs they work great for sharp rocks in the water though so keep these shoes for water use amazing
