Pros

There are small lumps at the tip of the prongs that are intended to keep the spring ends from slipping off. Used to remove spring ring on lg washer.

It’s an awesome, useful, well-sized, and maneuverable tool. Much easier than trying to force the spring open via brute force. Not sure about long term durability but does the job.

Cons

Amazon does not have the consumer's best interests at heart when listing a product as “amazon’s choice. It's a shame that they did not use a higher quality grip material. On my washer it only stretched the spring about an eighth of an inch.
