I could clear it simply by turning the camera off andor removing and reinstalling the battery completely

Again this is using my 1d mark 3 perhaps i will try it on my 1d mark 4 and see if this issue follows

This battery does not communicate with the canon 1dx that is the camera will operate normally but the battery indicator will not work

If not and youll know by your charger blinking all the recharge lights which means it cannot communicate with the batterys onboard chip the vendor will replace it

Problem seems to be the internal chip in the battery that relays information to the camera or charger
