It gives her room to grow and is safer than collars made from synthetic materials which as many may no were she ever to get stuck or hung by the collar would not breakthis is one of the main arguments for leather collars

The style is well thought out as the nameplate being done on soft brass is easy to scuff is opposite the tagsbuckle area so with thw weighted part always pulling itself to the bottom of the neck its harder to damage the plate though it still will get scuffs

Ive used the nylon web collars with embroidered info in the past and with those the adjustment buckle obstructs the information which could potentially mean the person who found my dog would have to remove the collar to read a phone number
