Pros & Cons
Pros
Very enjoyable fantasy/feudal politic book. The battle is epic, the scale is almost epic, and his ability to spin a tale, using both current storyline and flashback is excellent. The mage is like-able but you worry about him.
A fun book to read and great continuation of the spellmonger story! Mancour tells a pretty good story. Terry doesn't fall back on clichés and deus ex machine every time. Terry is truly an artist/author to pay attention to.
It's a good book and encourages the reader to continue reading to find out what might happen next. The audible version is fantastic and definitely an enjoyable listen.
Cons
I find myself too distracted by the mistakes and inconsistencies to follow this author's rambling and overpadded (overstuffed?
Incredibly annoying. There are more nitpicky things, like min describing a post battle conference. Overall, i am really disappointed with what happened to this series in this latest installment. Its disappointing to me.
