Without the “jar pad” the rotor rubs the base of the jar creating friction at high speeds and generating that awful burnt smell but rise the base a couple millimetres and problem solved
The jar pad is a rubber pad which aids in cleaning decreases the transfer of vibrations from the motor to the jar protecting it… but also rises the jar at least 2 mm 116 inch from the base
